Hi All, I have a issue with my 900SS and it wont start. I normally go to Andy Mac but i am unable to ride my bike there due to a starting problem. (starter switch or wiring issue) Can anyone recommend a good mobile Ducati mechanic? Thanks Al

Derek Ball is his name I think... dunno the number!
you could try taking the main wire off the starter and cleaning the contact... sometimes they get a bit shitty..

Give Morrie a call at Motorcycle Masters. He is a Ducati Specialist.... 9353 3772
He is in Kewdale and I am sure he will collect or lend ya a trailor.

Okay a update on the problem. I took the wire off the solenoid and cleaned the contacts and as you suggested monsta they were dirty and hey presto the old girl was back in action Thanks Monsta Went for a ride and when i came home the bike had the same problem I tried to call Andy Mac as he has been working on my bike since 2002 but he is now only working Wednesday to Friday.. Called Morrie at motorcycle masters (thanks jack) who was busy and they suggested to drop the bike down and Morrie could have a look when he had a chance. To my surprise the bike started when cold but as soon as it heated up if i switched it off it would not start. Only way to fire her up again was to push start and i rode to see Morrie and explained the problem and he knew exactly what the issue was. The solenoid wire plug when heated up was coming loose causing the bike to not start. He squeezed the connectors in a bit to make the plug a tighter fit and fixed it on the spot. A nice bloke Morrie and thanks to him the bike is all good and thanks again Jack for the info. ;D Cheers AL AL
