Hi everyone, im new to this forum as i have just purchased my first Duke. Its an 1198 and i do love it. Ive added Termi pipes and cosmetic improvements.(carbon fibre stuff) The problem is the Duke keeps cutting out. At low speed or at the lights it just dies. Starts up first time but is very frustrating. Also when i change from 1st to 2nd under heavy acceleration it tends to misfire and feels like it wants to throw me off. The TPS has been adjusted several times, the regulator has been replaced. Has anyone had this problem? Can anyone suggest anything? Its been in Causeway Ducati 4 times and still no luck.

My 1198 has cut out on a couple of occasions but starts up again straight away. Not sure about the mis fire though. Have you got traction control coz this could be kicking in or otherwise the rev limiter.? If all else fails, give Justin from Pro Twin a hoy. He's the guru on sorting this type of stuff. Good luck.

Well I got the duke back and it doesn't cut out anymore. Apparently it's been tuned using 1098 software and easier to add and remove fuel. Got it back two weeks ago, now the master cylinder for the clutch has blown some seals. part wont be here til Tuesday. Do dukes usually have these issues?

Sounds like you're havin a shit of a time! Glad to hear the cutting out problem got sorted. Not nice when things stop unexpectedly! Did Justin fix it of someone else? I've not had any problems since owning mine (over a year now), so touch wood, things will stay that way! Hopefully once the clutch is fixed you be on your way and enjoy the Duke.

Causeway did the job. It was going fine, but today it cut out..... Again! Then when I told them about it they said its overdue for the belts to be replaced. I've had it 1 year but was in the shop for a year. So it's 24 months old. I got it new and it's less than 7000 Kim's. I feel a bit pee'd off as I don't really want to spend the money when I've only had it 12 months and its not even close to 12000kms.
