Hi Just wondering whats happening with NUMDUC this year. Nothing on web site. Article in Mag says no quad (4 wheelers) due to insurance ?? Presume this means no 4 wheel vehicles on site at all, including camper trailers and 4 WD roof campers etc. What is happening with parking for those that bring tents in cars, will there be parking somewhere? I believe grunter has sold much of his land and areas that were available to us are no longer available. If it is to be bikes only guess there will be no 3 wheelers as well including chairs, outifts and sidecars of any type. Info seems thin. Is the rally going to be a bikes only rally, come on bike with a tent/swag or don't come at all? ?? Me thinks there needs to be a whole lot more thought put into this and a whole lot more info put out there for the members and others that might be coming. Can potentially see big problems at the gate. Cheers

Just a few comments. Nothing has changed from previous NUMDUC Rallies excepting NO Quad "Bikes". And there has been a lot of thought put into this. Always plenty of info available at Club Meetings Details on the web site soon. Cheers Jack

The NUMDUC is a MOTORCYCLE Rally, held by the Ducati Owners Club. That kind of implies that you ride in on a motorcycle. Cars, quads, trail bikes and camper-vans are not welcome. What are people thinking? It's a MOTORCYCLE RALLY!!! Get it? Ride your bike or pike out at home. Leave the family at home and ride your bike. If you want to go camping with the family, fine. Go where ever you like, but don't bring your kids to a MOTORCYCLE RALLY. It's for motorcyclists. Adults that ride Motorcycles.
RIDE WHAT YOU BRING AND BRING WHAT YOU RIDE. IT'S A MOTORCYCLE RALLY.

Anyone who take a quadbikes or kids to a MOTORCYCLE RALLY is an IDIOT. Motorbike Rallies are about adult motorcycle enthusiasts getting on the piss and not giving a shit about anything but partying for a few days. Not "arrh ! watch your language mate there's kids in that tent". and definitely not "Shit i better run over there and move my bike" coz some rowdy retarded redneck on a quadbike is doing donuts and spraying rocks all over my emaculate Duke. Rallies used to be Awsome and had good crowds when they were adults only two wheeled events. WTF Happened ! If you want to camp with kids and/or quads go somewhere else. If your not adult and your not arriving on a Motocycle, Don't come. Thank You.

I don't have any issue with bikes only at the rally....makes perfect sense! The question I have is, only a small amount of gear can be carried on a bike or in back pack. Is there a trailer or truck organized where we can chuck all our gear (tent, swag etc) into before hand and collect it at the site? This way we can bring bulky stuff we need, (to a point) set up at the site and have it brought back after the rally to be collected on return.

On the 20th and 21st of April, all good club members will be going up to the rally site to collect wood. This is your chance to bring your family and trail bikes up for a good weekend of fun. I'll be taking my big tent, esky and other stuff, up for that weekend. I'll be leaving the stuff I need for the rally there. Then I can pack my bike with booze and other party stuff for the rally.
So there's a really good reason to support the club with our Rally preparations.
Don't forget to bring your chain saw.

As one who has organized a number of past NUMDUC Rallys I feel obliged to add my comments. What I read in a few posts is somewhat interesting. I guess it goes with out saying however individuals do not have the right to dictate who and what "can come" to the DOCWA NUMDUC RALLY. If you check the poster (which is now up on the website) you will note that children ARE, and have always been welcome at OUR Rally. As per usual any children remain the responsibility of their parent / guardian. Site Taxi ... as in all previous NUMDUC Rallys there is a "Site Taxi" to transport gear from the gate to your chosen tent site. Cost = gold coin donation. Cheers Jack
