Rust? Where is the hole? What model? Do you want a temporary fix or something permanent? Give us some clues.

The bike is a 2002 900ss ,from wot i can see its leaking from the hinge spot welds , I was looking for ideas of people to send it to get fixed thanks for any help .

i've just had this happen on my 06 st3. Seems to be a common enough problem with the older steel tanks, maybe a sideways knock to the rear mounting hinge or rust?? To fix I took the tank off and tig welded the seams around mounting plate and bottom of the tank. I'm no expert but believe this will do the job.

use tank sealer availible from bike shops and vintage resto supplies its used to seal rusted and pinholed fuel tanks by creating a painted seal inside the tank no welding no repainting
